- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning, implementation, code review, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA, and other engineers to understand requirements and translate them into reliable technical solutions.
- Debug issues in development and production environments, identify root causes, and help implement fixes in a timely manner.
- Contribute to unit, integration, and automated testing efforts to improve software quality and release confidence.
- Follow engineering standards, documentation practices, and team processes for version control, code reviews, and release management.
- Learn and apply best practices in software design, performance, security, and scalability through hands-on project work and mentorship.
- Document technical decisions, implementation details, and support materials to help improve team knowledge sharing and maintainability.

- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or Go.
- Foundational understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented or functional programming concepts, and debugging techniques.
- Familiarity with software development tools and workflows, including Git, IDEs, testing frameworks, and issue tracking systems.
- Ability to communicate clearly, ask thoughtful questions, and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn from feedback and mentorship.
Nice to Have
- Experience building web applications, APIs, or backend services through coursework, internships, or personal projects.
- Exposure to cloud platforms, containers, CI/CD pipelines, or modern deployment practices.
- Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases and basic data modeling concepts.
- Understanding of agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
What We Offer
- A supportive environment with mentorship, structured onboarding, and opportunities to learn from experienced engineers.

Cognilium AI
AI, Fintech, Legaltech, SoftwareCognilium AI is an AI engineering company that builds custom AI agents to run enterprise operations. Founded in 2019, we engineer production AI systems including Paralegent AI for contract review, ProspectVox for voice AI sales, VectorHire for AI recruiting, and VORTA for customer support operations.
Founded in 2019, Cognilium AI emerged from a simple observation: while everyone talks about AI transformation, few deliver production systems that actually work. We're the boutique firm that embeds elite Generative AI talent inside growth-minded companies, building secure, scalable systems designed for immediate impact.
We partner with venture-backed startups racing to MVP and enterprises modernizing their infrastructure. Our embedded teams don't just consult—they operate as an extension of yours, transforming fragmented data into intelligent, revenue-driving products.
Unlike firms that stop at research or prototypes, we carry ideas all the way to production. This builder DNA comes from our own journey: we've created VectorHire and Vorta, products now serving thousands of users. We know what it takes to go from zero to one, then scale to millions.
