Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Crewport collects, how we use it, and the choices available to candidates and employers who use our platform.
Last updated: October 2026
01Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, information generated when you use the Crewport platform, and limited technical information collected automatically when you visit our website or use our services.
This may include contact details, account information, interview content, usage data, device and browser information, and communications you send to us.
02Candidate information
Where a candidate participates in an interview conducted through Crewport, we may process the candidate's name, contact details, resume or CV, application details, interview responses, audio and video recordings, recordings of the candidate's screen during the interview, transcripts, and assessment outputs.
Candidates are informed before an interview begins and are asked to provide consent to the recording and processing of the interview.
If you apply for a job on the Crewport jobs board (crew-port.com/jobs), we receive your name, email address, phone number, resume and, if you provide it, your LinkedIn profile. We pass your application to the employer that posted the job and process it on their behalf, including AI screening of your resume against the job's requirements. If you choose to, we also send you updates about your application on WhatsApp.
03Employer and customer information
For employers and recruiting teams using Crewport, we process account registration details, billing information, job descriptions, evaluation criteria, team member details, and platform usage records necessary to provide the service.
04How we use information
We use information to provide and operate the platform, conduct and evaluate interviews, generate transcripts and assessments, deliver shortlists to employers, communicate with users, provide support, process payments, maintain security, and improve the reliability and quality of our services.
05Interview recordings and transcripts
Interviews conducted through Crewport may be recorded (the candidate's camera, voice and shared screen) and transcribed so that employers can review the conversation and the associated assessment. Recordings and transcripts are made available to the employer that initiated the interview.
Access is restricted to authorised users of the relevant employer account and to Crewport personnel who require access to operate or support the service.
06AI processing
Crewport uses automated systems to conduct interviews, generate follow-up questions, transcribe conversations, and produce scores and summaries against employer-defined criteria.
Automated outputs are intended to support human decision-making. Hiring decisions remain the responsibility of the employer, and employers are expected to apply human judgment before making decisions that affect a candidate.
07Data retention
We retain information for as long as it is required to provide the service, to comply with our legal and contractual obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the employer's configuration.
When information is no longer required, it is deleted or anonymised.
Job applications, including those an employer does not take forward, are not deleted automatically. They remain in the employer's Crewport account until the employer deletes them, or until you ask us to delete yours (see Data deletion requests).
08Data security
We apply technical and organisational measures designed to protect information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration and loss, including access controls, encryption in transit, and restricted internal access.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
09Third-party services
We use third-party service providers for functions such as hosting, communications, speech and language processing, code execution for technical assessments, analytics and payment processing. These providers process information on our instructions and for the purposes described in this policy.
The jobs board's application form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated programs. Cloudflare receives technical information about your browser and device for this purpose. To limit repeated or abusive submissions, we store only a one-way, keyed hash of your network address with your application.
10Cookies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep sessions active, remember preferences and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, although some features may not function correctly if cookies are disabled.
11Data sharing
We share candidate interview information with the employer that initiated the interview. We may share information with service providers acting on our behalf, with professional advisers, or where required by applicable law, legal process, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
We do not sell personal information.
12Your rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, or to object to certain processing and withdraw consent.
Where an employer has initiated an interview, or posted the job you applied to on our jobs board, that employer may act as the controller of the candidate's information. In those cases we will direct requests to the relevant employer and support them in responding.
13Contact us
For questions about this policy or to make a privacy request, contact us at hello@crew-port.com or write to Crewport LLC, Sharjah Media City, Al Messaned, Sharjah, UAE.
14Updates to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology or legal requirements. Where changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify affected users. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised.
15Data deletion requests
Candidates and Customers may ask us to delete the personal data we hold about them. Email hello@crew-port.com with the subject "Data deletion request" from the address you used with Crewport, or with the phone number you received WhatsApp messages on.
We confirm receipt within 5 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days, except where a Customer (the employer you applied to) instructs us to retain the data for their own legal obligations, in which case we tell you and refer you to them.
If you received WhatsApp messages from Crewport and only want those to stop, reply STOP to any of them; no request is needed.
